Outstanding Hotel Experience! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I cannot express how much I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The location couldn't have been better, offering easy access to everything I needed while still providing a peaceful retreat. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality linens and a luxurious blanket that made for a perfect night's sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities in the room, including a fully stocked kitchenette with everything one could need. The highlight, however, was the shower - an experience in itself. The water pressure was excellent, and the shower was spotlessly clean, making for a refreshing and enjoyable experience. As someone who is typically quite critical of hotels, I must say that this one truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning in the future!

The hotel is perfectly situated close to Covent Garden and the Strand, just a few minutes walk to Charing Cross or Embankment and the Thames or to China Town and Shaftesbury Avenue. We were allocated a very quiet room, and were pleased there was a table large enough for 2 people with laptops and 2 chairs. Many hotels seems to have little / no room for 2 laptops and only one chair in a double room. There is a cleverly concealed 'kitchenette' with a sink, filtered water on tap, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and fridge. Cutlery, crockery and ample tea and coffee is provided. The bathroom is spacious. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, assisting with luggage, always welcoming you and acknowledging your presence. Although we could only take advantage once, we liked the 'happy hour' offer of a drink.

It was nice to be positively surprised for once. The room turned out to be cleaner than expected (very clean), and better equipped than expected. It also turned out to be larger than expected, certainly way larger than the broom closets (read: «Rooms») of the other London hotels we stayed in so far. The room comes with a wardrobe, there is a section which holds the coffeemaker and fridge and there is even a small balcony. A word of caution before your mind goes all whoolgathering, though, as the balcony faces the backyard, which kind of nippes all romantic thoughs in the proverbial bud. Not facing the street also means a quieter room, however, and quiet it was. We asked for a quiet room when we made our reservation and a quiet room is what we got. There was no breakfast included in our rate, but this being the Strand and Covent-Garden there are numerous restaurants in the neighborhood. To be honest, if you threw a stone it would be difficult not to hit one, if not even two. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are always on hand whenever you need them. To be honest, it was quite nice to be perceived as a person rather than just a room-number for once. This is not a very large hotel, which also means there are no lines in front of the elevators, nor are they filled to capacity, which is something we also appreciated. If you are heading for breakfast the smell of undigested Doner-Kebap is not always conductive to a healthy appetite. At this point I would like to thank the staff for making our stay the success it was and special thanks to Mandeep and Tommy for their valuable tips, which were not only helpful but also saved us money in the end. Are there better hotels in London? Certainly, but for this price and location what «The Resident» has to offer is hard to beat. We will definitely be back.

Every aspect of this hotel is outstanding. Outperforming its price bracket. The attention to detail and quality is remarkable. It doesn't matter that the rooms are relatively compact, since the design details more than compensate. Equally the kitchenette and ability to have breakfast brought in make up for the lack of a restaurant .Everything is virtually brand new. Beds perfect. Staff actually helpful and practical rather than just for show. The Britta tap for drinking water is a clever touch in the kitchenette. The location for restaurants and theatres is perfect, and Charring Cross Station and Underground on doorstep. It joins a very exclusive club for me of hotels where I've been totally satisfied.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room decor was clean and tidy. I stayed with two friends in a room with three single beds, one was a pull out bed but a full single size. The beds were very comfortable with clean crisp linen. The air conditioning worked well, in a lot of hotels it’s difficult to adjust the temperature and if you get it right it can be noisy. The room had a small kitchenette area which had a filter tap for drinking water. The shower and toilet room had Molton Brown toiletries and was spotless. The room was very quiet. We had a complimentary glass of Prosecco in the lobby before leaving the hotel to see a show. I will definitely return to this hotel as we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location, just off the Strand & Covent Garden, quiet room in which they had placed 3 single beds as requested for me & my 2 friends. Compact kitchen, lovely bathroom & very comfortable. We all slept very well & the blinds were fantastic & didn’t let any light in! Very accommodating, friendly staff. A short stay but very pleasant. Very helpful & had recommendations for shows, restaurants etc too.

You cannot find a better location than this in London - it’s a safe area, a short walk to so many things of interest, loads of cafes/restaurants within five minute walk plus all the shops etc of Covent Garden …… bus stop (number 15) to St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower of London is 100 meters from hotel. Then get boat back from Tower of London to Embankment, which is a three minute walk back to the hotel. Rules, which is London’s oldest restaurant and serves traditional British food is a two minute walk away ….. and the food is pretty good. Try the sticky toffee pudding and the golden syrup pudding, nothing fancy but something our grandparents would know - simple but surprisingly good and a genuine English food. Room was clean & comfortable with a good shower. Staff super helpful. This is a great overall choice for a tourist coming to London.

The staff was amazing - so welcoming and helpful. I was a bit worried about the twin beds that were still pushed together like a king bed (traveling with a friend), but the staff came and separated them by a foot and somehow that made it feel better. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was fantastic - great pressure! The location can’t be beat - we loved walking around Covent Garden and the staff was helpful with recommendations and directions. I also appreciated having filtered water available in the room.
